How to Use

Add Page Numbers to PDF

  1. Drag and drop a PDF file onto the upload area, or click to browse
  2. Choose a number format: decimal (1, 2, 3), roman (i, ii, iii), or alphabetic (a, b, c)
  3. Set the starting number (default is 1)
  4. Optionally add a prefix (e.g. "Page ") or suffix (e.g. " of 10")
  5. Select the position on the page (header or footer, left/center/right)
  6. Adjust font, size, color, and margin as desired
  7. Click "Update Preview" to see a live preview
  8. Click "Save Numbered PDF" to download the result

Number Formats

  • 1, 2, 3 — Standard decimal numbering
  • i, ii, iii — Lowercase Roman numerals
  • I, II, III — Uppercase Roman numerals
  • a, b, c — Lowercase alphabetic
  • A, B, C — Uppercase alphabetic

Privacy & Security

  • All processing happens locally in your browser using pdf-lib and PDF.js
  • Your PDF files are never uploaded to any server
  • No data is stored or transmitted
  • Works completely offline once the page is loaded
